NEW POSITION: Building Maintenance Officer.

The Health Clinic is seeking a volunteer handyperson to provide assistance with various small maintenance tasks that arise throughout the year. Duties may include installing a lock, changing light bulbs or fixing a drawer…There is an opportunity for this person to join our Clinic Operations group that oversees property maintenance. We would also invite applicants to consider joining our Board of Directors through this role as Building Maintenance Officer. The Galiano Health Care Society is looking for someone to be the Coordinator of Senior’s Health and Recreation programs. Project to run Oct 1, 2012 – March 31-2013, with possibility of extension, 6 hours per week, $20/hr. Applicants should have basic computer, report writing skills, good communications skills, a preferred background in seniors or volunteer programs, experience in community development work, and be an independent, mature worker.
