Your generosity enables us to:

• A Strong Centre
  We are committed to maintaining and improving the Health Care Centre facility.  This includes providing staff to ensure the facility is run in an organized, consistent and responsible manner.  We strive to offer patients a clean, professional clinic.  We also house a well-equipped medical loan equipment cupboard. 
• Dental Clinic
  We have created a full service dental clinic that operates approximately 5-6 days per month.  Dr. Eha Onno provides impeccable dental care, and Maureen Kelly is a Registered Dental Hygienist who provides service every 6 weeks.  Good oral health is integral to a healthy body.  We operate as a community non-profit dental clinic.
• Seniors & Community Wellness Programs
  Our Health Care Centre supports a variety of volunteer and community service initiatives on Galiano.  There is a large group of dedicated individuals who volunteer their time to make Galiano a more caring and accessible place to live.  Our programs focus on seniors’ health, mental health and wellness, chronic disease management, palliative & ‘grieving support’ and services to help people stay engaged in life.  We also have a Volunteer Services Committee of the Board that looks at upcoming needs in the community and how we might partner to have these addressed.
• Staying Current
  The purchase of life saving equipment and up-to-date medical equipment for using in our treatment room.
• Serving the Community
  We have for many years contributed funds towards an off-island paramedic travel subsidy.  This support has been crucial at times when there is not a large on-island resident crew to staff the Ambulance station 24/7.  We are newly partnered with the BCEHS Community Paramedics to provide health and wellness workshops, and equipment that will be useful in the Medical Loan Equipment program.
