Community Information
Galiano is located on the eastern outer edge of British Columbia’s Gulf Islands, with a population of approximately 1000 residents. It is the second largest, and the driest, of the island chain. Rich in history and beauty, Galiano has been called The Jewel of the Strait of Georgia.

Galiano Islanders move at their own easy pace, respecting and protecting a fragile environment which is home to over 130 species of birds and many rare and protected plants. Primarily a recreational island it has retained an undeveloped, secluded character. Parks, logging trails and country lanes provide the outdoor enthusiast with spectacular scenery and unlimited hiking possibilities. Other recreational opportunities include sailing, kayaking and fishing.

Job Summary
Rare opportunity to join our team of health care providers, that includes a full-time nurse practitioner and a variety of other health professionals. The position on the beautiful Southern Gulf Island of Galiano can be either solo or practice share. While meeting patient needs and the minimum contractual requirement of 1,680 hours/year, there is flexibility to establish clinic hours and workdays to suit your practice model. On call responsibilities are shared 1:4 with colleagues on Mayne and Pender Islands.

Enjoy an independent and challenging practice in a turn-key modern office (Wolf EMR) with an emergency treatment room. No obstetrics or hospital work and support from outstanding staff and Nurse Practitioners.

Education, Training and Experience
